Within this contribution a model-based concept to transform GRAFCET into IEC 61131-3 control code is presented and discussed. Furthermore, different approaches for an automatic transformation of the manually modified code back to the specification to keep them up-to-date are introduced. This bidirectional transformations concept can be denoted as Round-Trip-Engineering for control code design and maintenance. © 2019 Walter de Gruyter GmbH, Berlin/Boston.
