Die kontinuierliche Zunahme an Produktvarianten bei gleichzeitig immer geringer werdenden Losgrößen pro Variante steigert die Komplexität innerhalb der Produktion vieler produzierender Unternehmen und stellt diese vor große Herausforderungen. Zur Beherrschung der Komplexität und somit auch zur Erreichung produktionslogistischer Ziele ist die Erfassung von Informationen aus den laufenden Prozessen sowie deren Verwendung zur zielgerichteten Steuerung ein entscheidender Faktor. Die richtigen Informationen in der richtigen Form, am richtigen Ort in ausreichender Qualität bilden dabei die Grundlage für eine leistungsfähige Steuerung der Produktionslogistik. Dies gilt es im Rahmen von Projekten zur Verbesserung der Steuerung der Produktionslogistik zu berücksichtigen. Dazu wird in der vorliegenden Arbeit eine Methode aus sechs Schritten vorgestellt. Durch die Anwendung der Methode wird die Steuerung der Produktionslogistik systematisch verbessert und die Qualität der für die Steuerung erforderlichen Informationen mit den Anforderungen des Steuerungsverfahrens und des zu steuernden Prozesses harmonisiert.

The continuous increase in the number of variants, coupled with decreasing batch sizes per variant, increases the complexity within the production of many manufacturing companies and present them with major challenges. To master the complexity and thus also to achieve production logistics goals, the collection of information from running processes and its use for a goal-oriented control is a decisive factor. The right information in the right form at the right place in sufficient quality thus forms the basis for an efficient control of production logistics. This must be considered in the context of projects to improve the control of production logistics. For this purpose, a method consisting of six steps is presented in this thesis. By applying the method, the control of production logistics will be systematically improved, and the quality of the required information for the improvement is harmonized with the requirements of the control procedure and the requirements of the processes to be controlled.
