The unprocessed 50Hertz reports are available in Excel format and are compressed as .zip files.
The data set is a .csv file with 859 entries. Each row contains a single event with 5 informations: {voltageLevel},{startTime},{endTime},{duration} and {power}. “voltageLevel” refers either to the 220kV or the 380kV level. “startTime”, “endTime” and “duration” show when the event occurred. The data is shown in minutes, starting with 00:00 on a given day, in 15-minute increments. "power" is an array occupying all further entries in the row. It shows the actual curtailments. These are specified in MW, with each line specifying a 15-minute average value.

Abstract
The data set comprises the grid congestion management measures in the 50Hertz control area between 2012 and 2022. The data originates from the transparency law-compliant reports and was acquired using a data crawler and reformatted using a parser. They describe all interventions by the transmission system operator in which "redispatch" or "feed-in management" was used due to an imminent overload.
Description
The data was aggregated and processed from November to December 2023. Parts of it were presented at the Energy Symposium 2024 in Graz. The contribution may be found here: https://openhsu.ub.hsu-hh.de/handle/10.24405/15288
Two files are published, the first is the summarised reports published by 50Hertz and the second is a summarised data set. Only the curtailments that were carried out due to overloads on overhead lines or power cables were taken into account. The curtailments were summarised as events if they occurred at the same location and in chronological order.
