Abstract
The frequency-dependent grid impedance can be used to achieve an improved grid integration of generation plants and consumers with power electronic grid coupling. In particular, the design and implementation of large or high-power wind and photovoltaic parks can be optimized. The determination of the network impedance by measurement provides, in comparison to the currently applied estimation methods based on tabular values or simulation programs, more precise statements about the possible connection capacity of points of common coupling. The grid impedance measurements can contribute to more efficient grid utilization.
