dc.description.abstractIn LiNbO₃ waveguides light is converted from ordinary to extraordinary polarization. We use a simple model to describe this effect, especially the dependence on the geometric properties (thickness, cut direction) of the waveguides. We report results for linear and circular photovoltaic tensor elements of iron-and copper-doped lithium niobate waveguides. © 1993.
