Abstract
Efficient second harmonic generation at 400nm is demonstrated in highly photorefractive damage resistant periodically-poled Zr in-diffused LiTaO₃ ridge waveguides. With 540m W in-coupled power 49mW of blue light were generated, yielding 3.5%W⁻¹cm⁻² normalized conversion efficiency.
