Abstract
This dissertation examines how Electric Vehicles (EVs) can be integrated into Low Voltage (LV) distribution grids, focusing on Hamburg, Germany. Using real-world data and simulations, it analyzes EV charging patterns, proposes communication-based demand response strategies, and demonstrates methods to reduce grid congestion while improving energy efficiency and system resilience.
