dc.description.abstract | A method for manufacturing diamond or diamond-like carbon (DLC) by converting at least one other form of carbon such as graphite, amorphous carbon, fullerenes, glass carbon, graphene, carbon foam or a mixture of these forms. This method comprises an acceleration of particles and causing them to collide with a substrate. The particles and/or the substrate contain(s) or consist(s) of one other form of carbon. The conversion is induced by impact of the particles with the substrate, wherein cold gas spraying is used to advantage. | |
