Abstract
This document introduces the pedagogical guidelines, developed within WP3 of the ETH-TECH project. Its structure follows the design and release of Open Educational Resources (OERs), the processes through which they were created, their accompanying materials, and guidance on how to use them. It also provides recommendations to support their adoption and adaptation, thereby contributing to faculty development.
The report presents three OERs that address different EU principles for the ethical use of technology and AI in education: Transparency; Human Agency and Oversight; and Diversity, Non-Discrimination, and Fairness. Rather than prescribing answers or offering checklists, the OERs invite users to explore the relational entanglements, ethical ambiguities, and emotional dimensions of technology and AI use in education. The three OERs are structured as adaptable pedagogical pathways that combine clear step-by-step facilitation processes with practical guidance on timing, group size, preparation, delivery modes, and contextual adaptation for diverse educational settings. Each resource moves from initial exploration of an ethical principle through collaborative reflection and scenario-based activities toward debriefing, actionable recommendations, and opportunities for continued institutional and professional development.
Hosted on the project website (ETH-TECH Open Educational Resources), this interactive and multimodal resource consists of:
- a main introductory Meta-OER Page,
- direct links to the three OERs,
- and further reading links to the project's materials and outputs.
